Hello world, I call myself The Informationalist. I’ve picked up this moniker and this new self-imposed mission because things aren’t looking so good right now on planet Earth, and I think what we really need now more than ever are mission-driven individuals with vision; a large, dedicated base of common-sense human beings that will champion solutions to our problems—not political dribbel, rhetoric and disinformtion.

You and I both know that things are not great: The cost of groceries is crushing; energy, insurance, health care, car repairs, gas—all of the daily things we need to live—are driving people to bankruptcy and madness. And who could blame you for your madness?

While you work two full-time jobs just to make ends sometimes barely meet, others continue to get obsenely rich; politicians continue to quibble about over-blown culture wars and enriching themselves on stocks; and the country continues its full-steam ahead descent into crippling debt.

The myriad of problems facing our nation are gargantuan and difficult, but they are not impossible. Certainly, however, if things continue as they are, they will never be solved; and especially by using surface-level and shallow thinking.

So my new missions is this: Why?

I want you to ask yourself: Why?

Why do things need to be this way? Why are things like this, anyway? Why do I have to keep living barely making it paycheck-to-paycheck? Why can’t we live comfortably and pursue our life and liberty? Why can’t we have healthcare? Why are corporations dictating our future?

Why?

From my perspective, shit’s a real mess, and it’s only getting worse. So let’s change our perspective. These questions do have answers; and they also have solutions. To achieve them though, we’ll have to change the way that we think.

That’s what I aim to do here. My goal isn’t to get you to see things from my point of view exclusively, my goal is to electrify your own thinking. To challenge your entrenched views and status quo blues in the hopes of breaking you out of the same ol’ box.

To inspire you to jump in and help us paint the human canvas with your ideas and creativity instead of hate and anger.

Go ahead: Call me a dreamer if you wish. But if our current reality is that lies can be repeated until they are believed to be the truth, then the same is also true of other ideas and perspectives. Of course facts matter—but they don’t change minds effectively.

The majority of us are all playing a losing game; so let’s change the game—because why not? The alternative is to keep playing a broken game you know you’re going to lose over and over.

Or you could realize that you have the power to literally change the human experience. After all, power is derived from the consent of the governed, as some famous person once said.

So why protect billionaires’ interests? Why protect the corporations—including healthcare—that continue to squeeze you for every penny they can wring out of you? Honestly, what do you really gain from doing that beyond inflated pricing and enshittified services?

Why do you keep re-electing the same people thinking that things will surely change this time, only to ask yourself later on why they still haven’t done anything to improve your life, as if it were some great mystery of the universe?

It’s time to look beyond the walled garden of bullshit, worn-out ideas and curated, billionaire-owned media narratives. It’s time for a thought revolution.
